Mills SCR No. 3
Requests the Senate Committee on Senate and Governmental Affairs and the House
Committee on House and Governmental Affairs to jointly study and make recommendations
with respect to the possibility of requiring background checks of candidates for political
office to determine whether each candidate meets the qualifications provided by law and the
Constitution of Louisiana for the particular office. Requires that the recommendations be
made to the legislature by January 1, 2015.
