Page 1 of 1 Regular Session, 2014 ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 77 BY SENATOR ALLAIN AND REPRESENTATIVE WOODRUFF A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON To urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry to cooperate with all agricultural commodity groups to identify and mark farm-to-market highways in Louisiana. WHEREAS, agriculture is the backbone of Louisiana's economy; and WHEREAS, the agricultural industry contributes significantly to Louisiana's economy and has the potential to contribute even more economic benefits and job creation; and WHEREAS, other states, notably Texas, identify and mark farm-to-market highways; and WHEREAS, identifying and marking Louisiana's farm-to-market highways would benefit the agricultural industry. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry to cooperate with all agricultural commodity groups to identify and mark farm-to-market highways in Louisiana. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development and the commissioner of the Department of Agriculture and Forestry.
