SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 107
BY SENATOR CLAITOR 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends Dr. William Kubricht III for his dedication and service
to the Special Ops Survivors organization.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Dr. William Kubricht III for his dedication and service to the Special Ops2
Survivors organization.3
WHEREAS, Dr. William Kubricht III is a board-certified urologist in Baton Rouge,4
and serves as the 2014 board president of Special Ops Survivors; and5
WHEREAS, Special Ops Survivors is the only organization dedicated exclusively6
to serving surviving spouses of active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine special7
operations personnel who have died in combat or training since September 11, 2001; and8
WHEREAS, the goal of Special Ops Survivors is to assist each newly widowed9
spouse in getting reacclimated to life outside the military through an educational grant, other10
financial assistance, or through attendance at a survivors' conference, where those11
individuals can connect with other surviving spouses who have gone through, and overcome,12
similar tragedies; and13
WHEREAS, when he pulls on his combat boots, special uniform, helmet, and14
backpack, Dr. Kubricht is honoring the memory of fallen American solders who were part15
of United States Special Operations forces; and16
WHEREAS, he is part of a team of six that participates in mud runs inspired by17
military obstacle courses; and18 SR NO. 107

WHEREAS, each team member solicits donations on behalf of the organization's1
mission, while additional sponsors pay for uniforms and other costs associated with the2
races; and3
WHEREAS, each team member wears two service patches during the races in4
memory of the fallen solder he is honoring; and5
WHEREAS, one is given to the surviving spouse at the end of the race, while the6
team member keeps the second patch; and7
WHEREAS, the strength of Louisiana's communities and the overall vitality of8
American society depend in great measure upon the tireless dedication of people like Dr.9
William Kubricht III; and10
WHEREAS, Dr. Kubricht is an inspiration to his fellow citizens for the vital11
contributions he has made to the goals and mission of Special Ops Survivors, and he merits12
the highest commendation and most sincere appreciation for his service on behalf of the13
widowed spouses he assists, and for the tremendous pride, honor, and joy that he brings to14
all who know him.15
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana16
does hereby commend Dr. William Kubricht III for his service and dedication to those17
surviving spouses of active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine special operations18
personnel who died in combat or training since September 11, 2001, does hereby recognize19
and record for posterity the deep and abiding appreciation of his fellow citizens, for his20
exemplary service, and does hereby extend to him best wishes for success and happiness in21
all of his future endeavors.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Dr.23
William Kurbricht III.24
