SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 107
BY SENATOR CLAITOR 
A RESOLUTION
To commend Dr. William Kubricht III for his dedication and service to the Special Ops
Survivors organization.
WHEREAS, Dr. William Kubricht III is a board-certified urologist in Baton Rouge,
and serves as the 2014 board president of Special Ops Survivors; and
WHEREAS, Special Ops Survivors is the only organization dedicated exclusively
to serving surviving spouses of active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine special
operations personnel who have died in combat or training since September 11, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the goal of Special Ops Survivors is to assist each newly widowed
spouse in getting reacclimated to life outside the military through an educational grant, other
financial assistance, or through attendance at a survivors' conference, where those
individuals can connect with other surviving spouses who have gone through, and overcome,
similar tragedies; and
WHEREAS, when he pulls on his combat boots, special uniform, helmet, and
backpack, Dr. Kubricht is honoring the memory of fallen American solders who were part
of United States Special Operations forces; and
WHEREAS, he is part of a team of six that participates in mud runs inspired by
military obstacle courses; and
WHEREAS, each team member solicits donations on behalf of the organization's
mission, while additional sponsors pay for uniforms and other costs associated with the
races; and
WHEREAS, each team member wears two service patches during the races in
memory of the fallen solder he is honoring; and
WHEREAS, one is given to the surviving spouse at the end of the race, while the
team member keeps the second patch; and
WHEREAS, the strength of Louisiana's communities and the overall vitality of
American society depend in great measure upon the tireless dedication of people like Dr.
William Kubricht III; and SR NO. 107	ENROLLED

WHEREAS, Dr. Kubricht is an inspiration to his fellow citizens for the vital
contributions he has made to the goals and mission of Special Ops Survivors, and he merits
the highest commendation and most sincere appreciation for his service on behalf of the
widowed spouses he assists, and for the tremendous pride, honor, and joy that he brings to
all who know him.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend Dr. William Kubricht III for his service and dedication to those
surviving spouses of active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine special operations
personnel who died in combat or training since September 11, 2001, does hereby recognize
and record for posterity the deep and abiding appreciation of his fellow citizens, for his
exemplary service, and does hereby extend to him best wishes for success and happiness in
all of his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Dr.
William Kurbricht III.
