SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 138
BY SENATORS CLAITOR AND PEACOCK 
A RESOLUTION
To commend June Williams for her leadership as president of the Louisiana Federation of
Republican Women.
WHEREAS, founded and affiliated with the National Federation of Republican
Women in 1953, the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women (LFRW) is a grassroots
political organization with thousands of active members in nearly forty local clubs across
the state which works to promote an informed public through political education and
activity; increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government; encourage
and facilitate cooperation and communication among local clubs, their members and the
LFRW; foster loyalty to the Republican Party and promote its principles and candidates in
all elections; and support objectives and policies of the Republican National Committee and
work for the election of the national Republican Party nominee; and
WHEREAS, June Williams has served the LFRW in many roles over the last
fourteen years; as a club officer, chairman of numerous state committees, and a three-term
state officer, including president since 2011; a length of service and variety of experiences
that have instilled in her a true appreciation of and commitment to the mission of LFRW and
the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) in their quest to protect our
freedoms and our future at the ballot box; and
WHEREAS, June Williams has worked closely with committees, clubs and
individual members to achieve these goals and believes that a cooperative team spirit is
essential for long-term organizational success; and
WHEREAS, a registered nurse with more than twenty-five years of managerial and
administrative experience, she has the professional background and work experience to
complement and strengthen her political resume; and 
WHEREAS, June Williams organized and motivated her professional peers as an
effective communicator and supportive team leader and, as a respected medical professional,
she was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to the Louisiana Executive Board on Aging,
for which she now serves as chair; and SR NO. 138	ENROLLED

WHEREAS, maintaining both an active political and community presence, June has
served on the Terrebonne Republican Parish Executive Committee, volunteered on
numerous campaigns, served as a delegate to Federation and Republican conventions,
graduated from the NFRW Campaign Management School, and is a charter member of
POWER PAC; and
WHEREAS, June is a member of the Terrebonne executive board of the Louisiana
Branch of the International Dyslexia Association; and
WHEREAS, she is an effective, dependable leader with an impressive record of
service and commitment, personally, professionally and politically, and is a proud mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
hereby commends June Williams for her leadership as president of the Louisiana Federation
of Republican Women.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to June
Williams.
