Page 1 of 1 Regular Session, 2014 ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 154 BY SENATOR JOHN SMITH A RESOLUTION To commend and congratulate Robert "Bo" Rice, City of DeRidder District 1 Councilman for his dedicated public service. WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Robert "Bo" Rice for his service as a council member of the city of DeRidder and to recognize him for his dedication to public service; and WHEREAS, Robert "Bo" Rice has served the city of DeRidder as District 1 Councilman since 2006; and WHEREAS, Bo was born in 1964, the son of Dorothy and Walter Rice, graduated from DeRidder High School in 1983, and attended McNeese State University; and WHEREAS, he is married to Sheila Rice and they have five children: Al'isa, Robin, Dominique, Jasmine, and Robert Jr.; and WHEREAS, a very active member of the City Council, he will leave public service with the end of his current term on June 30, 2014; and WHEREAS, Robert "Bo" Rice merits a special measure of commendation for the tremendous pride and honor that he brings to his family, friends, and community, the city of DeRidder, and the state of Louisiana. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Robert "Bo" Rice, City of DeRidder District 1 Councilman, for his dedication, does hereby recognize and record for posterity his accomplishments and contributions to his community, and does hereby extend best wishes for his continued success and happiness in the years to come.
