HOUSE BILL NO. 14
BY REPRESENTATIVE GEYMANN
APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the DOTD in the matter of "Michael Aleshire and Mary Aleshire v. CUSA, GCT,
LLC, d/b/a Gulf Coast Transportation, Vencent R. Barnett, and National Union Fire
Insurance"
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
3 2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of
4 Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Michael Aleshire and Mary
5 Aleshire v. CUSA, GCT, LLC, d/b/a Gulf Coast Transportation, Vencent R. Barnett,
6 and National Union Fire Insurance"; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The sum of One Hundred Four Thousand Three Hundred Eighty and
982/100 ($104,380.82) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of
10Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the
11Department of Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Michael Aleshire and
12Mary Aleshire v. CUSA, GCT, LLC, d/b/a Gulf Coast Transportation, Vencent R. Barnett,
13and National Union Fire Insurance", bearing Number 2010-980, Division "H", on the docket
14of the Fourteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Calcasieu, state of Louisiana.
15 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
16and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
172015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
