Present law provides that a parent of a child attending a public elementary or secondary school is entitled to review any survey before it is administered or distributed by a school to a student. Proposed law provides that parents are also entitled to approve such surveys. Prohibits any school or school board from administering or distributing a survey to a student unless his parent has approved his participation in the survey.
