Abstract: Provides that there shall be no cause of action against an insurance producer for his
issuing a certificate of insurance unless the producer willfully misrepresents the underlying
insurance policy in the certificate.
Present law provides for the issuance of certificates of insurance by insurers or insurance producers.
Proposed law retains present law and provides that there shall be no cause of action against an
insurance producer who issues a certificate of insurance unless the producer willfully misrepresents
the underlying insurance policy in the certificate.
