APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the DOTD in the matter of "Dawn Sistrunk, individually and on behalf of her
deceased minor daughter, Christi Collins v. Ford Motor Company and ABC
Insurance Company"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
3 2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of
4 Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Dawn Sistrunk, individually
5 and on behalf of her deceased minor daughter, Christi Collins v. Ford Motor
6 Company and ABC Insurance Company"; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of Twelve Thousand and No/100 ($12,000.00) Dollars is hereby
9appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-2016
10to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of Transportation and
11Development in the suit entitled "Dawn Sistrunk, individually and on behalf of her deceased
12minor daughter, Christi Collins v. Ford Motor Company and ABC Insurance Company",
13bearing Number 506-883, Division "A", on the docket of the Twenty-fourth Judicial District
14Court, parish of Jefferson, state of Louisiana.
15 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
16and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
172015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
