Abstract: Changes the composition of the La. Egg Commission (commission) by decreasing the
number of members. Modifies the commission meeting requirements.
Present law provides for a nine member commission. Proposed law reduces the number of members
from nine to seven.
Present law requires that four members of the commission shall be active distributors. Proposed law
reduces the number of members that are active distributors from four to two.
Present law requires the commission to meet quarterly and allows them to also meet on the call of
the chairman. Proposed law modifies present law by requiring the commission to meet as needed
on the call of the chairman or upon the request of any three members.
