New law expands this existing law exception to include retired district attorneys and retired assistant district attorneys. Prior law required the retired justice or judge to be P.O.S.T. certified. New law requires all excepted justices, judges, district attorneys, or assistant district attorneys to qualify annually by P.O.S.T. New law defines "retired district attorney" and "retired assistant district attorney". Effective August 1, 2015. (Amends R.S. 14:95(K))
