ENROLLED 2015 Regular Session HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 102 BY REPRESENTATIVE BURFORD A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION To commend Jessica Sprout upon her selection as a top twenty finalist in the McDonald's Sound Off competition. WHEREAS, the McDonald's Sound Off competition features many talented singers who compete for a prize of fifty thousand dollars and a trip to perform on NBC's television show, The Voice; and WHEREAS, each singer in the competition performs a full song in front of a live audience with the help of a house band; and WHEREAS, Jessica Sprout's passion for singing began at an early age and continued throughout her years in high school; and WHEREAS, after attending voice lessons and performing at local festivals, talent competitions, and band gigs, Jessica Sprout started singing with a contemporary Christian band at Brookwood Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, she is a physical therapist in home health, a loving wife, and a proud mother; and WHEREAS, Jessica Sprout has always dreamed of being able to sing for a living because of the fulfillment it brings her; and WHEREAS, through her passion for singing, she has grown spiritually and musically; and WHEREAS, Jessica Sprout merits the highest measure of commendation upon her selection as a top twenty finalist in the McDonald's Sound Off competition. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Jessica Sprout upon her selection as a top twenty finalist in the McDonald's Sound Page 1 of 2 HCR NO. 102 ENROLLED Off competition and does hereby extend best wishes to Jessica Sprout for continued success in the future.
