HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 187
BY REPRESENTATIVES OURSO AND BARROW
A RESOLUTION
To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Mary Lee
Landry Pizzolato.
WHEREAS, the members of the House of Representatives was saddened to learn of
the passing on April 19, 2015, of Mary Lee Landry Pizzolato, Donaldsonville native and
Baton Rouge resident, at the age of eighty-six; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Pizzolato was the wife of Tony Pizzolato for fifty years and the
matriarch of the Pizzolato family, owners of Tony's Seafood and Louisiana Fish Fry
Products; and
WHEREAS, a devout Catholic, Mrs. Pizzolato was a lifelong member of St. Gerard
Majella Catholic Church and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Pizzolato was a professional QVC and Avon shopper, supported
numerous charities, and was often referred to as an angel on Earth; and
WHEREAS, fond recollections of good times with Mary Lee Landry Pizzolato will
forever remain in the hearts and minds of her six children, daughter Ceily and son-in-law
Brad Burkett; sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Terry Pizzolato, Joey and Siri Pizzolato,
Mike and Stephanie Pizzolato, Cliff and Tracie Pizzolato, and Tad and Kem Pizzolato; her
sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Marion Pizzolato;
her devoted friend and neighbor, Mary Grace Jones; numerous other friends and family; and
the professional caretakers and medical staff who attended Mrs. Pizzolato through her
transition from this life; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Pizzolato leaves behind a legacy of love and service, and her
meaningful contributions to the development and prosperity of Tony's Seafood will not soon
be forgotten; it is with heavy hearts that the members of the House of Representatives bid
a fond farewell to the grand lady of the Pizzolato family upon her departure to eternal rest.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to the
family and friends of Mary Lee Landry Pizzolato upon her passing and does hereby extend
thoughts and prayers for comfort.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the family of Mary Lee Landry Pizzolato.
