A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable Jeffery "Jeff" Arnold and to express enduring gratitude for his
outstanding contributions to Orleans Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
during his tenure as a distinguished member and the dean of the Louisiana House of
Representatives.
WHEREAS, Jeff Arnold is a notable public servant who has served with excellence
as a state representative since taking office in 2002, during which time he has fully used
every opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an honorable and
dedicated manner; and
WHEREAS, a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School, Representative Arnold
received two bachelor of arts degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University in
management and marketing and finance; and
WHEREAS, Representative Arnold has been a proud member of the Democratic
Caucus, the Louisiana Rural Caucus, and the Orleans Delegation; and
WHEREAS, Representative Arnold's diligent committee service has included serving
as the chairman of the House Committee on Commerce and the House Committee on
Judiciary, and he has served as a member of the House Committee on Civil Law and
Procedure, the House Committee of Ways and Means, the House and Governmental Affairs

Committee, the House Executive Committee, and the Special Committee on Military and
Veterans Affairs; and
WHEREAS, Representative Arnold also served as the dean of the House with great
pride and honor; and
WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Arnold
has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
of his life, Representative Arnold merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
Louisiana House of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Jeffery "Jeff" Arnold; does
hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
particularly during his tenure as a member and the dean of the Louisiana House of
Representatives, which has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the
welfare of his constituents in Orleans Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and
does hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated
his intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Arnold for his service to the citizens of
Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the Honorable Jeffery "Jeff" Arnold.
