CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences upon the passing of Gabrielle "Gabby"
Alexandra LaJack, of Opelousas
1 A RESOLUTION
2To express condolences upon the passing of Gabrielle "Gabby" Alexandra LaJack, of
3 Opelousas.
4 WHEREAS, the members of the House of Representatives were saddened to learn
5of the departure from this life on June 9, 2015, of Gabrielle "Gabby" Alexandra LaJack, at
6the tender age of seventeen; and
7 WHEREAS, throughout her all-too-brief stay on Earth, Gabby was joy personified;
8her whimsical antics infected those around her with laughter and happiness, and her quirky
9sense of humor was well known to her friends and classmates; and
10 WHEREAS, Gabby was a kind soul; she tended to the needs of others and had a
11special place in her heart for the family pets; and
12 WHEREAS, a senior and honor student at Opelousas Catholic School, Gabby
13participated on the Ministry Team and the Cheerleading Squad; she loved leading cheers;
14and
15 WHEREAS, Gabby LaJack expressed her confidence in her faith by traveling to
16Guatemala on a mission trip where she ministered to children; and
17 WHEREAS, Gabby was a most precious jewel and beloved by her parents, Sonny
18and Kim Bordelon LaJack; her siblings Lindsey Marie, Logan Duchesne, Danielle LaJack
19Liner and husband Zachary, and Kimberly Daire Soileau and husband Chad; her nephews
20Ty and Lane Soileau and Jefferson Liner; her grandparents Donald and Jackline Bordelon;

1and godmothers Kathy Whipp and Channy Manuel; and fond recollections of treasured times
2will forever remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her.
3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
4Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend deepest sympathies to the family of Gabrielle
5"Gabby" Alexandra LaJack; does hereby express most sincere and heartfelt condolences to
6all who mourn her passing; and does hereby offer thoughts and prayers for comfort in the
7knowledge that her radiant spirit is at rest with her Lord.
8 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
9to the family of Gabrielle LaJack.
