State Board of Nursing to make limited exceptions to the policy known as the "eighty percent rule" for certain schools 1 A RESOLUTION 2To direct the Louisiana State Board of Nursing to make limited exceptions, on an emergency 3 basis, to the policy known as the "eighty percent rule" for certain schools. 4 WHEREAS, Chapter 11 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, 5comprised of R.S. 37:911 et seq., creates the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and provides 6for the regulation of the practice of nursing in this state; and 7 WHEREAS, R.S. 24:177(B) provides, in pertinent part, that the legislature may 8express the intended meaning of laws in a resolution. 9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the 10Legislature of Louisiana does hereby direct the Louisiana State Board of Nursing to make 11limited exceptions, on an emergency basis, to the policy known as the "eighty percent rule" 12for any school that has presented a plan for restructuring its curriculum. 13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the 14executive director of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
