HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 41

A RESOLUTION
To commend and congratulate Grady Gaubert of Thibodaux on his election as chairman of
the Petroleum Marketers Association of America for 2015.
WHEREAS, the House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Grady Gaubert of
Thibodaux has been elected chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America
for 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert holds the distinction of being the first Louisiana petroleum
marketer to be elected chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America, and
his business pedigree proves his worth for this honor: he is a third-generation oil marketer
and president of Gaubert Oil, founded by his grandfather eighty-nine years ago; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert is an active member in the petroleum marketing industry,
a past president of the Louisiana Oil Marketers and Convenience Store Association, and
continues to serve on the association's board of directors; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert was a member of the board of directors of the Texaco
National Distributor Advisory Council, the Equilon National Distributor Advisory Council,
the Shell National Distributor Advisory Council, and the Chevron National Distributor
Advisory Council; he served three years as chairman of the Louisiana Underground Storage
Tank Trust Fund Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert is a member of the National Federation of Independent
Businesses, the National Association of Convenience Stores, the Council for a Better
Louisiana, and the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry; and

WHEREAS, in addition to his industry involvement, Mr. Gaubert supports his local
business community, having served on the boards of the Chamber of Lafourche and the
Bayou Region, Bayou Industrial Group, the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce, and
Southeastern Oil Jobbers Co-Op; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to congratulate Grady Gaubert on his many
achievements and to commend him on his election as chairman of the Petroleum Marketers
Association of America.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Grady Gaubert of
Thibodaux on his election as chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America
for 2015 and does hereby extend best wishes for prosperity and success for the association
under his leadership.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Grady Gaubert.
