(gov sig) 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 17:4021(A)(3), relative to the Student Scholarships For 3 Educational Excellence Program; to provide relative to eligibility requirements for 4 nonpublic participating schools; to provide relative to the percentage of scholarship 5 recipients certain participating schools can enroll; and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 17:4021(A)(3) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 8 ยง4021. School eligibility 9 A. To be eligible to participate in the program, a nonpublic school shall meet 10 all of the following criteria: 11 * * * 12 (3) Enrollment of scholarship recipients in a participating school that has 13 been approved, provisionally approved, or probationally approved and in operation 14 in the state for less than two years shall not exceed twenty percent of such school's 15 total student enrollment. 16 * * * 17 Section 2. DIGEST SB 186 Original 2015 Regular Session Walsworth Relative to the Student Scholarships for Educational Excellence Program: Present law provides that enrollment of scholarship recipients in a participating nonpublic school that has been approved, provisionally approved, or probationally approved for less than two years shall not exceed twenty percent of the school's total student enrollment. Proposed law retains present law and additionally provides that enrollment of scholarship recipients in an approved, provisionally approved, or probationally approved participating nonpublic school that has been in operation in the state for less than two years shall not exceed 20% of total school enrollment.
