Expresses legislative support for naming the Reserve Branch Library in St. John the Baptist Parish as the "Leroy D. Williams Public Library". 1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION 2 To support the efforts of the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and the St. John the Baptist 3 Board of Library Control to rename the Reserve Branch Library in St. John the 4 Baptist Parish as the Leroy D. Williams Public Library. 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Leroy Williams, a member of the St. John the Baptist Library Board 6 of Control since its inception, passed away on March 5, 2015; and 7 WHEREAS, Mr. Williams was committed to public libraries in the parish, serving 8 with distinction as president and vice president of the board; and 9 WHEREAS, the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and the St. John the Baptist 10 Board of Library Control adopted resolutions in honor of Mr. Leroy D. Williams. 11 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby 12 support the efforts of the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and the St. John the Baptist 13 Board of Library Control to rename the Reserve Branch Library in St. John the Baptist 14 Parish as the Leroy D. Williams Public Library. 15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to 16 Natalie Robottom, the parish president of St. John the Baptist Parish.
