2015 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 50 BY SENATOR BROWN AND REPRESENTATIVE GAINES A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION To support the efforts of the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and the St. John the Baptist Board of Library Control to rename the Reserve Branch Library in St. John the Baptist Parish as the Leroy D. Williams Public Library. WHEREAS, Mr. Leroy Williams, a member of the St. John the Baptist Library Board of Control since its inception, passed away on March 5, 2015; and WHEREAS, Mr. Williams was committed to public libraries in the parish, serving with distinction as president and vice president of the board; and WHEREAS, the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and the St. John the Baptist Board of Library Control adopted resolutions in honor of Mr. Leroy D. Williams. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby support the efforts of the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and the St. John the Baptist Board of Library Control to rename the Reserve Branch Library in St. John the Baptist Parish as the Leroy D. Williams Public Library. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Natalie Robottom, the parish president of St. John the Baptist Parish.
