SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 71
BY SENATOR PETERSON AND REPRESENTATI VE MORENO 
A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To express the sincere condolences of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of Arnold
"Bud" Pellerin.
WHEREAS, Arnold "Bud" Pellerin was affectionately known as Bud by all who
knew and loved him; and
WHEREAS, Bud was born on July 17, 1947, to Lucille Boudreaux Pellerin and
Althamus Pellerin Sr.; and
WHEREAS, he grew into a man respected by all who came into contact with him;
and
WHEREAS, he became an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars after
retiring from extensive and honorable service in the United States Army; and
WHEREAS, Bud was the recipient of a Purple Heart and fought for our country
during the Vietnam War; and
WHEREAS, those who knew him best knew that he cherished his cat, Menew, and
spent some of his greatest moments with him by his side for twenty-one years; and
WHEREAS, this solider received his final assignment to report home to be with God
on January 1, 2015; and 
WHEREAS, Bud leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Fannie "Shot" Broussard
Pellerin of New Iberia; and
WHEREAS, he also leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Dennis Fleming Sr. of
Verdunville, Althamus Pellerin Jr. and wife Gladys of Verdunville, Terry Pellerin Sr. and
wife Lelia of Lafayette, Cosmas Pellerin and wife Sandra of Verdunville, sisters, Faye P.
Broussard and husband Lawrence of New Iberia, Nancy P. Autin and husband Joseph of
Lafayette; and last but certainly not least, his furry, faithful friend, Menew Pellerin; and
WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille Boudreaux Pellerin,
and Althamus Pellerin Sr.; brothers, Marvin Pellerin, Frederick Pellerin Sr., and Jack
Pellerin; and one sister, Margaret Fleming.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
express the sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Arnold "Bud" Pellerin.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
family of Arnold "Bud" Pellerin.
