2015 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 96 BY SENATOR JOHNS AND REPRESENTATI VE DANAHAY A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION To express the sincere condolences of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt. WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the citizens of Louisiana learned of the death of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt on May 6, 2015, at the age of fifty-eight; and WHEREAS, Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt was a native of Bridge City, Texas, and a resident of Carlyss, Louisiana, for the past thirty-three years; and WHEREAS, he was a member and president of the Carlyss Perch Club and employed as a senior account manager with Appleton Group; and WHEREAS, Pappy is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five and one-half years, Christi "Gammy" Hall Hillebrandt; his children, Carli Dyan Hillebrandt Fuselier and Dr. Cole Daniel Hillebrandt; his parents, V. J. and Melba Boudreaux; his siblings, Dana Boudreaux, Gay Moncla, and Johnny Boudreaux; three grandchildren, Reece Dylan "Reecer" Fuselier, Gavin Luke "Gavo" Fuselier, and Ryan Olivia "Tooty" Fuselier, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and WHEREAS, in his spare time, he enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, telling stories, listening to music, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; and WHEREAS, with the death of Charlie "Pappy Hillebrandt, Louisiana has lost one of its finest citizens who was admired by all whose lives he touched and is greatly missed; and WHEREAS, his passing has left a tremendous void in the Carlyss community, but his love, smile, and personality shall remain eternal in the hearts and minds of his loved ones, friends, and all who had the opportunity to meet and know him. Page 1 of 2 SCR NO. 96 ENROLLED THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt, and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and honor that this wonderful gentleman brought to his family, friends, community, and state.
