2015 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 101 BY SENATOR MARTINY A RESOLUTION To recognize May 11, 2015, as "Louisiana Association of Chambers of Commerce Executives (LACCE) Day" at the Louisiana State Capitol. WHEREAS, Louisiana leads the nation in manufacturing growth and export growth and is undergoing an industrial renaissance unprecedented in the state's history; and WHEREAS, Louisiana currently has a record number of citizens in the active workforce, and economists estimate tens of thousands of new jobs will be added annually to the state's economy over the next decade; and WHEREAS, chambers of commerce across Louisiana are dedicated to protecting and promoting the local and state business community and represent both small and large employers driving Louisiana's economic growth across all industry sectors; and WHEREAS, more than forty chambers of commerce have joined together as the Louisiana Association of Chambers of Commerce Executives (LACCE) to support and develop chamber leaders with information, professional development, and best practices in order to better serve their communities; and WHEREAS, LACCE is a membership-driven, nonprofit organization founded to unite chamber executives from throughout Louisiana; and WHEREAS, the objective of LACCE is to promote the improvement of management skills, techniques, and proficiency of member chamber executives; and WHEREAS, LACCE acts as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of improved methods, practices, and plans for administration of chambers of commerce in Louisiana; and WHEREAS, executives from the membership of LACCE volunteer their time and resources in a concerted effort to formulate new ideas and programs that will improve or enhance the quality of services offered by chambers across the state. Page 1 of 2 SR NO. 101 ENROLLED THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby recognize May 11, 2015, as "Louisiana Association of Chambers of Commerce Executives (LACCE) Day" at the Louisiana State Capitol. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express its appreciation for all of the chambers of commerce that seek to expand opportunities for Louisiana's citizens and make this state a great place in which to live and work.
