SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 153

A RESOLUTION
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
death of Irvin Jules Briant Jr.
WHEREAS, Irvin Jules Briant Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23,
2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, Irvin Jules Briant Jr., is survived by his loving parents, Irvin Jules
Briant Sr., and Rosalie M. Briant, his beloved daughters Traci Briant and Brittny Briant, his
cherished brothers David Briant, Gregory Briant, and Mitchell Briant and his friend and
primary caregiver Deborah James; and
WHEREAS, he is also survived by a host of relatives and friends who cherish the
memories they have of him; and
WHEREAS, he was baptized on March 13, 2014, at the Crowder Boulevard Baptist
Church of Christ in New Orleans, Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, Irvin Jules Briant Jr., retired from the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office;
and
WHEREAS, Irvin Jules Briant Jr. will be forever remembered by his family, friends,
and the people whose lives he touched for the joy he left in the hearts of all who knew him.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby extend sincere condolences to the family of Irvin Jules Briant Jr. on the occasion
of his death.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
family of Irvin Jules Briant Jr.
