SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 195
BY SENATOR GUILLORY 
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Capital City Republican Women on its fifth anniversary.
WHEREAS, the first organizational meeting of the Capital City Republican Women
was held on February 27, 2010, and was formed to instill Republican values in young
women in the business world and to participate in political campaigns of Republican
candidates; and
WHEREAS, the club is a local organization in Baton Rouge whose charter was
granted by the National Federation of Republican Women and approved by the Louisiana
Federation of Republican Women; and
WHEREAS, the Capital City Republican Women is the fortieth club to join the
Louisiana Federation of Republican Women; and
WHEREAS, the installation of officers and the charter ceremony were held on June
17, 2010, at the Governor's Mansion; and
WHEREAS, the Capital City Republican Women has eleven charter members,
eleven additional active members, twelve associate members, and membership in the club
continues to grow; and
WHEREAS, it is an energetic, dynamic, and compassionate club committed to
making a difference in the Baton Rouge community; and
WHEREAS, members are focused on the effectiveness of women in the cause of
good government, political education, and principles of the Republican Party; and
WHEREAS, the club's motto is "A Softer Side of a Stronger Nation" which embodies
the principles and beliefs of the organization; and
WHEREAS, the Capital City Republican Women work cohesively with the national
and state federations to develop and organize initiatives that promote, support, and preserve
the conservative ideals and principles of the Republican Party at all levels of government.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend the Capital City Republican Women on the occasion of its fifth
anniversary and does hereby commend its members for their efforts and dedication to
community service and for fostering awareness of the American political system for future
generations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
president of the Capital City Republican Women, Wanza H. Bell.
