BOUDREAUX, BROWN, CARTER, CHABERT, CLAITOR,
COLOMB, CORTEZ, DONAHUE, ERDEY, FANNIN, GATTI,
HEWITT, JOHNS, LAFLEUR, LAMBERT, LONG, LUNEAU,
MARTINY, MILKOVICH, MILLS, MIZELL, MORRELL, MORRISH,
PEACOCK, PERRY, PETERSON, RISER, JOHN SMITH, TARVER,
THOMPSON, WALSWORTH, WARD AND WHITE 
A RESOLUTION
To commend Dr. Angela Keyes upon being named Psychology Educator of the Year at
Tulane University School of Medicine and for her contributions and dedication to
excellence in education.
WHEREAS, Dr. Angela Keyes received her PhD from the University of New
Orleans in Applied Developmental Psychology; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Keyes completed her postdoctoral fellowship in 2005 at Tulane
University School of Medicine in infant mental health; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Keyes began work at the Tulane University School of Medicine in
2002 and is currently an associate professor of clinical psychiatry in the Department of
Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences; and
WHEREAS, committed to the betterment of childcare and the development of
children, Dr. Keyes has articles in numerous national publications regarding quality of care
and its effects on children's development, positive methods of managing children's behavior,
and providing culturally competent mental health services; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Keyes is also active outside the classroom and serves as the director
of the Quality Start program designed to recognize, support, and increase the quality of
childcare throughout Louisiana through training, professional development, and incentive
programs; and
WHEREAS, because of her outstanding teaching ability and willingness to go above
and beyond for her students, Dr. Keyes was chosen by the predoctoral interns and
postdoctoral fellows of the Tulane University Department of Psychology as the Psychology
Educator of the Year; and

WHEREAS, the members of the Senate of Louisiana wish to express, with gratitude,
their respect for the exemplary strides Dr. Keyes has taken in the field of psychology and for
the pride she has brought to her community and the state of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend Dr. Angela Keyes upon being named Psychology Educator of the
Year and does hereby recognize and record for posterity her extraordinary contributions and
dedication to excellence in education and service in Louisiana and does hereby wish Dr.
Keyes every measure of success and happiness in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Dr.
Angela Keyes at the Tulane University School of Medicine.
