Blow, Traci L. Newsom, individually and on behalf of her minor child Emily Johnson v. State of Louisiana, through the DOTD and Richard W. Suhm" 1 AN ACT 2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016- 3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Gerald L. Blow, 4 Traci L. Newsom, individually and on behalf of her minor child Emily Johnson v. 5 State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development and 6 Richard W. Suhm"; and to provide for related matters. 7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 8 Section 1. The sum of One Hundred Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Six 9and 53/100 ($119,876.53) Dollars in favor of plaintiff, Traci L. Newsom, also known as 10Traci Cook, individually; and the sum of Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred and No/100 11($19,200.00) Dollars in favor of plaintiff, Gerald Blow, are hereby appropriated out of the 12General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be used to pay the 13consent judgment in the suit entitled "Gerald L. Blow, Traci L. Newsom, individually and 14on behalf of her minor child Emily Johnson v. State of Louisiana, through the Department 15of Transportation and Development and Richard W. Suhm", bearing Number 2013-10709C 16on the docket of the Twenty-Second Judicial District Court, parish of St. Tammany, state of 17Louisiana. 18 Section 2. The sum of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Three and 47/100 19($10,523.47) Dollars, is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of 20Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be paid to the Department of Health and Hospitals 21for Medicaid reimbursement in the suit entitled "Gerald L. Blow, Traci L. Newsom, 22individually and on behalf of her minor child Emily Johnson v. The sum of Four Hundred and No/100 ($400.00) Dollars, is hereby 5appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to 6be paid to AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana through its subrogation recovery agent Xerox 7Recovery Services for Medicaid claims in the suit entitled "Gerald L. Blow, Traci L. 8Newsom, individually and on behalf of her minor child Emily Johnson v. State of Louisiana, 9through the Department of Transportation and Development and Richard W. Suhm", bearing 10Number 2013-10709C on the docket of the Twenty-Second Judicial District Court, parish 11of St. Tammany, state of Louisiana. 12 Section 4. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor 13and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1, 142016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
