APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the DOTD in the matter of "Larry and Rose Storey, et ux. v. State of Louisiana,
through the Department of Transportation and Development, G. Wall and Safeway
Insurance Company of Louisiana"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Larry and Rose
4 Storey, et ux. v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and
5 Development, G. Wall and Safeway Insurance Company of Louisiana"; and to
6 provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100 ($75,000.00) Dollars is
9hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
102017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Larry and Rose Storey, et
11ux. v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development, G.
12Wall and Safeway Insurance Company of Louisiana", bearing Number 2004-000408 on the
13docket of the 21st Judicial District Court, parish of Tangipahoa, state of Louisiana.
14 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
15and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
162016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
