APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Todd Foles, Faith Landry and Cheryl Sedotal, individually and on behalf
of the deceased, Jeanne Foles v. State of Louisiana Department of Highways, the
parish of Assumption and ABC Contractor"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Todd Foles, Faith
4 Landry and Cheryl Sedotal, individually and on behalf of the deceased, Jeanne Foles
5 v. State of Louisiana, State of Louisiana Department of Highways, the Parish of
6 Assumption and ABC Contractor"; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of Twenty-Five Thousand and No/100 ($25,000.00) Dollars, is
9hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
102017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Todd Foles, Faith Landry
11and Cheryl Sedotal, individually and on behalf of the deceased, Jeanne Foles v. State of
12Louisiana, State of Louisiana Department of Highways, the Parish of Assumption and ABC
13Contractor", bearing Number 31,662, Division "B", on the docket of the Twenty-Third
14Judicial District Court, parish of Assumption, state of Louisiana.
15 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
16and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
172016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
