APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Steven Melancon v. State of Louisiana through the Department of
Transportation and Development, et al."
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Steven Melancon
4 v. the State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and
5 Development, et al."; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The sum of One Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 ($1,500.00) Dollars
8is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year
92016-2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Steven Melancon v.
10the State of Louisiana throught the Department of Transportation and Development, et al.",
11bearing Number 210,869 on the docket of the 9th Judicial District Court, parish of Rapides,
12state of Louisiana.
13 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
14and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
152016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
