APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Zurich American Insurance Company v. Jonathan C. Dark, New Bern
Transport Corporation, Gulf Engineers and Consultants, Inc. and the State of
Louisiana through the DOTD"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Zurich American
4 Insurance Company v. Jonathan C. Dark, New Bern Transport Corporation, Gulf
5 Engineers and Consultants, Inc. and the State of Louisiana through the Department
6 of Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of Six Thousand Sixty-Two and 50/100 ($6,062.50) Dollars is
9hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
102017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Zurich American Insurance
11Company v. Jonathan C. Dark, New Bern Transport Corporation, Gulf Engineers and
12Consultants, Inc. and the State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and
13Development", bearing Number 171450, Division "A", on the docket of the Thirty-Second
14Judicial District Court, parish of Terrebonne, state of Louisiana.
15 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
16and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
172016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
