APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the DOTD in the matter of "Donald M. Ragusa, Individually and on behalf of his
minor son, Trevor Ragusa, and Tina Cristina vs. State of Louisiana, through the
Department of Transportation and Development"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Donald M. Ragusa,
4 Individually and on behalf of his minor son, Trevor Ragusa, and Tina Cristina v.
5 State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development";
6 and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100
9($175,000.00) Dollars, in favor of Donald M. Ragusa and the sum of One Hundred Seventy-
10Five Thousand and No/100 ($175,000.00) Dollars in favor of Tina Cristina is hereby
11appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to
12be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Donald M. Ragusa, Individually and
13on behalf of his minor son, Trevor Ragusa, and Tina Cristina v. State of Louisiana, through
14the Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number 582,173 on the docket
15of the 19

Judicial District Court, parish of East Baton Rouge, state of Louisiana.
16 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
17and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
182016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
