ENROLLED ACT No. 31 2016 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 622 BY REPRESENTATIVE JIM MORRIS 1 AN ACT 2 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer 3 of certain state property in Caddo Parish; to provide for the property description; to 4 provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to provide 5 an effective date; and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. The commissioner of administration, notwithstanding any other provision 8 of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, 9 or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to all or any portion of 10 the following described parcel of property to David Hearon and Angela Hearon: 11 A certain tract of State owned (nonsevered) land by Judgement dated November 14, 12 1921 identified as Campsite Lot No. 9, James Bayou Area, located in Section 26, 13 T21N, R16W, Louisiana Meridian and more fully shown on a plat(s) filed in the 14 State Land Office. 15 Section 2. The commissioner of administration is hereby authorized to enter into 16 such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as 17 necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of 18 title, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in Section 1 of this Act, and as more 19 specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and 20 between the commissioner of administration and David Hearon and Angela Hearon, in 21 exchange of consideration proportionate to the appraised value of the property. 22 Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 23 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature Page 1 of 2 HB NO. 622 ENROLLED 1 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 2 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 3 effective on the day following such approval.
