APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Breanna Cloud v. Stephen L. Jones, State of Louisiana, through the
Department of Transportation and Development, Thomas Yearn, Baton Rouge Ready
Mix, LLC, and National Indemnity Company"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Breanna Cloud v.
4 Stephen L. Jones, State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and
5 Development, Thomas Yearn, Baton Rouge Ready Mix, LLC, and National
6 Indemnity Company"; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. The sum of Two Thousand and No/100 ($2,000.00) Dollars is hereby
9appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to
10be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Breanna Cloud v. Stephen L. Jones,
11State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development, Thomas
12Yearn, Baton Rouge Ready Mix, LLC, and National Indemnity Company", bearing Number
13129,728 on the docket of the 21st Judicial District Court, parish of Livingston, state of
14Louisiana.
15 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
16and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
172016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
