WATER/RESOURCES:  Prohibits the withdrawal of water from Spring Bayou in Avoyelles
Parish
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 30:961(L), relative to management of surface water; to prohibit the
3 withdrawal of water from Spring Bayou; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  R.S. 30:961(L) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 ยง961.  Cooperative endeavor agreements; withdrawal of surface water; intent
7	*          *          *
8	L.  Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 9:1104, withdrawal of water from
9 Spring Bayou in Avoyelles Parish is hereby prohibited.  The secretary shall not
10 authorize the withdrawal nor shall he enter into any cooperative endeavor agreement
11 that authorizes the withdrawal of water from Spring Bayou.
