APPROPRIATIONS/TAX APPL: Appropriates funds for payment of the Louisiana Board
of Tax Appeals recommendation in the matter of "General Motors v. T.A. "Tim"
Barfield, Jr., Acting Secretary of the Department of Revenue, State of Louisiana, and
the State of Louisiana"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the recommendation for payment rendered by the Board of
4 Tax Appeals in favor of General Motors Company; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Fifty-One Thousand Three
8Hundred Nine and 72/100 ($2,851,309.72) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General
9Fund of the State of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be used to pay the
10recommendation for payment rendered by the Board of Tax Appeals in the claim against the
11state entitled "General Motors Company v. T.A. "Tim" Barfield, Jr., Acting Secretary of the
12Department of Revenue, State of Louisiana, and the State of Louisiana", bearing Number
137706 on the docket of the Board of Tax Appeals, state of Louisiana.
14 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
15and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
162016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
