APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Angela Harris, et al. v. State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation
and Development"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Angela Harris, et
4 al. v. State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development"; and to
5 provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The sum of Fifty Thousand and No/100 ($50,000.00) Dollars, is hereby
8appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to
9be used to pay plaintiff-in-intervention, Caitlyn Harris, in the consent judgment in the suit
10entitled "Angela Harris, et al. v. State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and
11Development", bearing Number 26989 on the docket of the 37
th
Judicial District Court,
12parish of Caldwell, state of Louisiana.
13 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
14and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
152016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
