Abstract: Creates the crime of unlawful display of profane material in historic districts.
Proposed law creates the crime of unlawful display of profane material in historic districts and
provides criminal penalties of a fine of not more than $2,000, imprisonment for not more than two
years, or both.
Proposed law defines "profane material" as any material including but not limited to t-shirts, other
clothing, signs, displays, and any other matter, which includes language that is vituperative,
invective, blasphemous, or offensive.
