1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 46:121(1), relative to Louisiana Military Family Assistance; to
3 provide for the meaning of "activated military personnel"; and to provide for related
4 matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 46:121(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง121. Definitions
8 For purposes of this Part, the following terms shall be defined as follows:
9 (1) "Activated military personnel" means a person domiciled in Louisiana
10 for civilian purposes, names Louisiana as Home of Residence Record (HOR) for
11 military purposes, and who is a member of any of the following:
12 (a) A member of a reserve component of the United States Army, Navy, Air
13 Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, including the Louisiana National Guard, and
14 called to active federal service in excess of thirty days; or.
15 (b) The A member of the Louisiana National Guard and called to active
16 state service pursuant to R.S. 29:7.
17 (c) A veteran of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or
18 Coast Guard, as defined in Paragraph (4) of this Section.
