COMMENDATIONS: Commends state representative Frank Hoffmann upon his induction
into the ULM Sports Hall of Fame
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2To commend state representative Frank Hoffmann upon his induction into the University of
3 Louisiana Monroe (ULM) Sports Hall of Fame.
4 WHEREAS, since 1977, Representative Hoffmann has proudly served as the voice
5of the ULM Warhawks; and
6 WHEREAS, for forty years, Representative Hoffmann has been a vital part of ULM;
7he calls ULM football games on the radio, and for nearly thirty years, he called basketball
8games; and
9 WHEREAS, during his career with ULM, he has broadcast approximately one
10thousand football and basketball games; and
11 WHEREAS, Representative Hoffmann is a distinguished graduate of ULM; he
12earned three degrees from ULM, including a doctorate, and he was the recipient of the
13George T. Walker Lifetime Achievement Award and the ULM Outstanding Education
14Alumni Award; and
15 WHEREAS, he also received the McNaughton Chapter of the College Hall of Fame
16Distinguished American Award and has been recognized by the Louisiana Sports Writers
17Association with several awards, including Best Play-by-Play; and

1 WHEREAS, on October 17, 2015, Representative Hoffmann was inducted into the
2ULM Sports Hall of Fame; and
3 WHEREAS, the ULM Sports Hall of Fame honors and perpetuates the memory of
4those who have made outstanding contributions to ULM athletics; membership in the Sports
5Hall of Fame consists of varsity letter winners, former coaches, and athletic administrators
6whose dedication and performance merit the greatest athletic honors that ULM can bestow;
7and
8 WHEREAS, the Legislature of Louisiana wishes to recognize their colleague and
9dear friend, Frank Hoffmann, upon his well-deserved induction into the ULM Sports Hall
10of Fame.
11 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
12commend state representative Frank Hoffmann upon his induction into the ULM Sports Hall
13of Fame and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
14prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
16to state representative Frank Hoffmann.
