A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend state representative Frank Hoffmann upon his induction into the University of
Louisiana Monroe (ULM) Sports Hall of Fame.
WHEREAS, since 1977, Representative Hoffmann has proudly served as the voice
of the ULM Warhawks; and
WHEREAS, for forty years, Representative Hoffmann has been a vital part of ULM;
he calls ULM football games on the radio, and for nearly thirty years, he called basketball
games; and
WHEREAS, during his career with ULM, he has broadcast approximately one
thousand football and basketball games; and
WHEREAS, Representative Hoffmann is a distinguished graduate of ULM; he
earned three degrees from ULM, including a doctorate, and he was the recipient of the
George T. Walker Lifetime Achievement Award and the ULM Outstanding Education
Alumni Award; and
WHEREAS, he also received the McNaughton Chapter of the College Hall of Fame
Distinguished American Award and has been recognized by the Louisiana Sports Writers
Association with several awards, including Best Play-by-Play; and
WHEREAS, on October 17, 2015, Representative Hoffmann was inducted into the
ULM Sports Hall of Fame; and

WHEREAS, the ULM Sports Hall of Fame honors and perpetuates the memory of
those who have made outstanding contributions to ULM athletics; membership in the Sports
Hall of Fame consists of varsity letter winners, former coaches, and athletic administrators
whose dedication and performance merit the greatest athletic honors that ULM can bestow;
and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of Louisiana wishes to recognize their colleague and
dear friend, Frank Hoffmann, upon his well-deserved induction into the ULM Sports Hall
of Fame.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend state representative Frank Hoffmann upon his induction into the ULM Sports Hall
of Fame and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to state representative Frank Hoffmann.
