HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 115

A RESOLUTION
To commend Freddy Yoder for his years of service as president of the Lakeview Crime
Prevention District.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a sincere measure of appreciation be expressed to
Freddy Yoder for his many years of committed service, dedication, and remarkable
contributions to the Lakeview Crime Prevention District in Orleans Parish; and
WHEREAS, the Lakeview Crime Prevention District was the first security district
of its kind implemented in the state of Louisiana; the district provides supplemental police
protection for the Lakeview area of New Orleans, which consists of more than seven
thousand households; and
WHEREAS, since the district's implementation in 1998, crime in the Lakeview area
has been drastically reduced; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Yoder has served on the board of commissioners for the district
since its inception, and he has served as president for eleven years; and
WHEREAS, recently, he resigned as president to spend more time with his family,
but he will continue to serve the district as a member of the board; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Yoder has been an exemplary leader for the Lakeview Crime
Prevention District, and he is committed to ensuring that the district remains strong and
successful; and
WHEREAS, Freddy Yoder merits a special measure of commendation for his
outstanding accomplishments as president of the Lakeview Crime Prevention District in
Orleans Parish.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Freddy Yoder for his many years of service
as president of the Lakeview Crime Prevention District in Orleans Parish; does hereby
recognize and record for posterity his unwavering dedication and his singular contributions
to the district; does hereby express enduring appreciation to him for his leadership in
improving his community; and does hereby extend to him every good wish for success and
happiness in all of his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Freddy Yoder.
