HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 159

A RESOLUTION
To commend Addison Green upon being named an Outstanding Young Citizen by the
Crowley Chamber of Commerce.
WHEREAS, Addison Green is the daughter of Thomas and Katie Green; she is a
senior at Crowley High School, where she maintains a 4.0 GPA; she was named Student of
the Month, Hardest Working Student, and Crowley High School Student of the Year for
2016, and she received the Woodman of the World Award and the Daughters of the
American Revolution Award; and
WHEREAS, Addison serves as historian of the student council, secretary of the
National Honor Society, editor-in-chief of the Topper, and she is currently the senior class
representative; she is also a proud member of the ACT 23+ Club; and
WHEREAS, she was chosen to serve as president of the leadership team for the
youth group of First United Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS, she plans to attend Louisiana State University Eunice to receive an
associate degree in elementary education and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to
receive a bachelor's degree; and
WHEREAS, Addison Green is an exemplary young citizen, and it is appropriate to
commend her on her prestigious accomplishments as the Crowley Chamber of Commerce
celebrates her as an Outstanding Young Citizen.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Addison Green upon being named an
Outstanding Young Citizen by the Crowley Chamber of Commerce and does hereby extend

to her enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and honor that she brings to her family
and friends, school and community, and the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Addison Green.
