HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 225

A RESOLUTION
To commend Kevin Lawrence Mills, II, for his courage, determination, and perfect school
attendance.
WHEREAS, Kevin Lawrence Mills, II, the son of Kevin L. Mills and Janette Adger-
Mills, was born on September 5, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Kevin has overcome many obstacles throughout his life; by the age of
three, he had visited several doctors, and his family was told that he would not likely be able
to speak; and
WHEREAS, he underwent speech therapy, and he began to speak short sentences by
the age of five; and
WHEREAS, Kevin has not ever missed a day of school, since preschool, and he is
a recent graduate of C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport; and
WHEREAS, Kevin's courage, determination, and perfect school attendance merit a
special measure of commendation; he continues to inspire his family and all who know and
love him to accomplish their dreams.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Kevin Lawrence Mills, II, for his courage,
determination, and perfect school attendance and does hereby wish him full measures of
success and happiness in all of his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Kevin Lawrence Mills, II.
