HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 33

A RESOLUTION
To commend Angelica Dickson for her many accomplishments.
WHEREAS, Angelica Dickson is a lifelong swimmer and began her running career
during her senior year in high school; in 2012, she won the 1600 and 3200 meter 5A Outdoor
Track State Championship; and
WHEREAS, she will graduate from the United States Military Academy at West
Point in May of 2016; and
WHEREAS, as a cadet at West Point, Miss Dickson achieved numerous
accomplishments, including being a world championship qualifier in the Ironman 70.3 race,
a finisher in the 2015 40th Annual Marine Corps Marathon, a 2014 Army Navy Patriot
Games Team Member, a USA Triathlon Collegiate All-American in 2013 and 2014, a 2013
Northeast Triathlon Conference Rookie of the Year, and she served as the 2016 Company
Commander for H. Company, 2nd Regiment, United States Corps of Cadets; and
WHEREAS, Angelica Dickson merits the highest commendation and most sincere
congratulations for her extraordinary accomplishments.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Angelica Dickson for her outstanding
accomplishments and does hereby extend to her every good wish for success and happiness
in all of her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Angelica Dickson.
