HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 67
BY REPRESENTATIVE BAGLEY
A RESOLUTION
To commend Eugenia White upon her receipt of a 2016-2017 Sarnoff Cardiovascular
Research Fellowship.
WHEREAS, the Sarnoff Foundation is an organization dedicated to training future
generations of elite cardiovascular physician scientists; and
WHEREAS, Ms. White is a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of Wellesley
College in Wellesley, Massachusetts; currently, Ms. White is a third-year medical student
at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport; and
WHEREAS, Ms. White was selected among numerous applicants from top medical
schools across the nation as a 2016-2017 Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Fellow; and
WHEREAS, Ms. White will be paired with a mentor and given $30,000 for research;
and
WHEREAS, this prestigious award provides Ms. White with an opportunity to
become a physician scientist prior to obtaining a doctor of medicine degree; and
WHEREAS, Eugenia White merits a special measure of commendation for her
outstanding accomplishments and upon her receipt of a 2016-2017 Sarnoff Cardiovascular
Research Fellowship.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Eugenia White upon her receipt of a 2016-
2017 Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Fellowship and does hereby extend to her best wishes
for continued success and happiness in all of her future endeavors.
