ENROLLED 2016 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 69 BY REPRESENTATIVE COX A RESOLUTION To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Todd Eric Roque of Cane River. WHEREAS, the members of the House of Representatives were saddened to learn of the departure of Todd Eric Roque from this earthly rodeo, on April 7, 2016, to the pure pastures of Heaven; and WHEREAS, born in Bossier City on December 17, 1983, Todd joined the Roque Brothers Farm family business at an early age, where he pursued his passions of working cattle, riding horses, and enjoying the outdoor life; and WHEREAS, Todd graduated from Natchitoches Central High School in 2002; he was a member of Future Farmers of America, an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and was involved in the Catholic Youth Organization; and WHEREAS, left to cherish his memory are his parents, Thomas Roque, Sr., and Kathie Sarpy Roque; his sweet daughter Rockelle and son Ramsey; siblings Thomas Roque, Jr., and wife Anna, and sister Tiffany Roque; his niece Sydney and nephew, Thomas Roque, III; his beloved fiancee, Candice Castro; and extended family and friends; and WHEREAS, a true cowboy and devoted father, Todd Eric Roque embodied the family tradition of hard work and sharing; he died doing what he loved and left a legacy of love in the path he trod; his passing leaves a void that can never be filled but his memory will remain forever in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend deepest condolences to the family of Todd Eric Roque in this time of loss and does hereby express sincere prayers and hopes for peace and strength.
