HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 8

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team upon being the state
runner up in the Class C state championship.
WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team completed a
sensational 2015-2016 season on Friday, March 4, 2016, in the Class C state championship
game against Summerfield High School; and
WHEREAS, although Pleasant Hill High School fell short against Summerfield High
School in the championship game, the remarkable talents and determination of the players
merit recognition and celebration; and
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest levels of excellence,
and each Eagle deserves recognition for her vital contributions throughout the season; and
WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team finished the season
with 28 wins and 12 losses; and
WHEREAS, the basketball team's outstanding season upholds the glorious tradition
of Pleasant Hill High School, and all alumni and fans recognize the immense pride and
distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and state.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Pleasant Hill High School girls'
basketball team upon being the state runner up in the Class C state championship game and
does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches, and everyone involved with this fine
basketball program as they prepare for continued success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the head coach of the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team.
