HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 87
BY REPRESENTATIVE COX
A RESOLUTION
To commend Dr. Raymond Youngblood, Jr., for being an international gold miner and an
international business expert, philanthropist, inventor, scientist, and author.
WHEREAS, Dr. Raymond Youngblood, Jr., was born on April 27, 1973, in
Shreveport; and
WHEREAS, he graduated from Pelican High School, where he was known for his
exceptional talents in basketball; he was a Louisiana High School All-State Player in
basketball and baseball; and
WHEREAS, he earned a bachelors degree in psychology from Park University in
Parkville, Missouri, a masters of science degree in management from Friends University
Graduate School in Wichita, Kansas, and an international doctorate of business
administration degree from Berne University International Graduate School; and
WHEREAS, currently, Dr. Youngblood is being considered as a 2016 inductee for
the National Mining Hall of Fame; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Youngblood has received numerous awards and recognitions,
including the honor of being named financial investment ambassador during the presidency
of Colombia's thirty-first president, Álvaro Uribe; he has advised organizations such as the
United States Department of State, the United Nations, the African Development Bank, and
many other international organizations; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Youngblood serves as the chairman and is the largest individual
shareholder of small-scale individual mining groups; and
WHEREAS, he became Paramount Chief (King), a title bestowed in 2012 by the
Traditional Council of Chiefs and Elders of the Republic of Liberia; and
WHEREAS, he created Youngblood Industries, and he is known as the only
international black American gold miner in the United States; and

WHEREAS, he was the first gold miner to discover gold in several of the African
rivers and in areas such as Ghana's Sefwi Wiawso Region and in the Sudan desert; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Youngblood advises governments and many state officials on
economic rehabilitation and policies to promote rapid economic development; he has
supported thousands of children by paying school fees; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Youngblood leads extraordinary miners who shape the gold
industry; he merits a sincere measure of commendation for being an international gold miner
and an international business expert, inventor, scientist, and author. 
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Dr. Raymond Youngblood, Jr., for being an
international gold miner and an international business expert, philanthropist, inventor,
scientist, and author and does hereby extend to him every good wish for continued success
and happiness in the future. 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Dr. Raymond Youngblood, Jr.
